Brief Biography

Thandie Amanda Joseph is a Personal Secretary in the Department of Theology and Religious Studies. Ms Joseph has served the 4844³ÉÈËÃâ·Ñ¸£Àû from 1988 to 1991, and 1994 to date.

In 2003 I was appointed to the position of Secretary after completing a National Diploma in Information Administration with the Polytechnic of Namibia.  I was then promoted to the position Personal Secretary in 2007, the position I currently hold.  I am hardworking, cooperative, honest and dependable.

My educational background includes an ongoing MA in Archives and Records Management from the 4844³ÉÈËÃâ·Ñ¸£Àû.  I have a Bachelor of Office Management and Technology from the Polytechnic of Namibia, an Advanced Level of Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Certificate from Botswana Accountancy College and a Certificate in Accounting and Business Studies (CABS) with the 4844³ÉÈËÃâ·Ñ¸£Àû.

I have served the nation and the University in the area of sports.  I was a player for Botswana National Netball Team during All Africa Games 1995 and Notwane Netball Club.  I participated in the 4844³ÉÈËÃâ·Ñ¸£Àû Staff Sport and Recreation Association [UBSSRA] as a player. I have served as one of the leading members of the committee, specifically as a Financial Secretary for six years (2003 to 2006 and 2009-2010). 

In 2019,  I received a certificate of recognition for serving the University of Botswana for 25 years.
