Dr Ramoroka holds a Masters鈥 Degree in English Language Teaching for Specific Purposes (MA in ESP-1998) and a PhD in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics (2011) from the University of Warwick in the UK. Her research interests are in written academic discourse analysis and corpus-based textual analysis and and academic literacies'聽聽approach to teaching academic writing.聽She has a wealth of experience in teaching English for Academic Purposes courses at the 4844成人免费福利 and in other contexts .聽

Her approach to teaching and researching academic writing is influenced by the academic literacies perspective which views academic writing as socially situated (in the disciplines) and that learning to write academically means gaining a range of linguistic practices which are based on multiple discourses, identities and values.聽

Teaching interests are in the area of English for Academic Purposes (EAP) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), with a focus on Academic Writing at both undergraduate and post graduate level.聽

Research interests are in written academic discourse analysis and corpus-based textual analysis and student聽academic writing support.
