Badani is a Lecturer in the department of obstetrics and gynaecology. She has a Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, and has a fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from CMSA in South Africa.
. Her research interests are in the field of Obstetrics, mainly in strategies to reduce perinatal and maternal mortality.
She is involved  both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
