听 Forces, Founding Head of the Department of Psychiatry at Kenyatta University and Team Leader of the first ever Psychological Team to a
听 United Nations Mission听-in Sierra Leone.听Published over a dozen articles in peer reviewed journals听 and authored one book on " Mental
听 Health and HIV in Lesotho" and co-authored another on 'Horizons of Rape in Kenya". Research interests include: Rare Psychiatric Syndromes,
听 Psychological trauma in wars, Mental Heath of LGBT persons, Substance use in Military Populations.
Teaches in various areas of clinical psychiatry to both undergraduate and residents including:
听 听 skills in Inductive and deductive reasoning, oral and written communication, compassion and empathy, stress tolerance and perception and
听 听 sensitivity.
