TEMPORARY FULL-TIME MUSIC EDUCATION DEMONSTRATOR (1YEAR CONTRACT)

Applicants are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Temporary Full – Time Music Education Demonstrator in the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education.
Duties:ÌýThe successful candidate will be expected to assist in: (i) Managing the departmental music laboratory through monitoring of lab equipment and supervision of lab activities; ii) Provide technical assistance to staff members in the use of musical instruments during the teaching of music education; iii) Organizing and cataloguing all audio musical instruments and materials iv) Provide support during the conducting of tutorials; v) Order equipment and supplies (recording studio discs, sound equipment, instruments, etc.) as instructed; vi) Prepare schedules for student recitals, band and choral concerts; viii) Facilitate the logistics of approved music group performances; Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department. viii) Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements:ÌýCandidates should have at least: (i) At least a bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field. (ii) Knowledge of music notation and use of relevant software. (iii) At least one year experience as a technician in the music field, working at university or comparable institution, experience of handling and using of musical instruments will be an added advantage.
