ÌýDuties: Successful candidate will be expected to: (i) consult and provide general outpatient care to clients; (ii) make assessments and provide specialized nursing care for patients; (iii) contribute to the development and implementation ofÌý nursing care programs; (iv) contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures aligned to the national and 4844³ÉÈËÃâ·Ñ¸£Àû health policies; (v) Assist Nursing Manager in developing nursing programs in the clinic and supervises their implementation (vi) collaborate with relevant departments to develop educational materials for the UB community on health issues, associated drug interactions, side effects, etc.Ìý (vii) liaise with relevant sections or units within Ìýthe University for the provision counselling to patients. (viii) Supervise subordinates and monitors their progress through the performance management system (ix) prepare reports on services provided (x) and attend to any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements: Candidates should have: (i) Minimum of Nursing degree, e.g Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent (ii) At least four years’ experience working in a district facility or hospital providing nursing care; (iii) Diploma in Family Nursing Practice (FNP) (iv) Relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage. (v) Higher education experience will be an added advantage
Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with a diverse population of students, faculty Ìýand staff. A compassionate and empathetic attitude when dealing with patients' health concerns and unique circumstances. Ability to adapt to the evolving healthcare needs of the university community and stay updated with best practices in college health. Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and support staff. Sensitivity to cultural diversity and the ability to provide culturally competent care.
