LECTURER IN LANGUAGE EDUCATION (CONTRACT POSITION)
VACANCY NO: FE/PE03/2022
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Lecturer in Language Education, Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Education.
Duties:ÌýThe successful candidate will be expected to:Ìý(i)Ìýteach theory and practical in all aspects of Language Education;Ìý(¾±¾±)Ìýprovide academic leadership through the enhancement of teaching, research, professional and community service;Ìý(iii)Ìýtake an active part in the supervision and assessment of graduate and undergraduate students’ research projects;Ìý(¾±±¹)Ìýcarry out any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements: candidate should have:Ìý(i)Ìýat least a PhD/EdD in Applied linguistics or related field.Ìý(ii) Show evidence of research (iii) Evidence of governance and social engagement as well as teaching at University or comparable institution will be an added advantage.
NB: In special circumstances a Master’s Degree in Educational Language or related field may be considered, provided that the applicant has a Bachelor’s Degree or related fields with at least a 2(i) pass.
