The Alkaline Wetlands Project, funded by the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), invites applications for a Master鈥檚 student to join an international multidisciplinary research team investigating the geochemical, biological, and hydrological dynamics of the Okavango Delta.
Research will focus on geochemical analyses of soils and plants to understand how toxic metals and metalloids (e.g., As, V, U, Pb) move through the environment and affect ecosystem and human health.
The funding covers research expenses only (fieldwork, analyses, consumables). Tuition and living costs are not covered.
Eligibility and Requirements
- A strong background in environmental science, chemistry, geochemistry, or a related field
- Experience in laboratory or field-based environmental sampling and analysis is an advantage
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills
- Motivation to pursue research addressing environmental and public health challenges.
- 聽Capacity to work in a multidisciplinary, international research team.
